WOMEN IN TECHNOLOGY

In a panel discussion hosted by ECOM, Caterina Maniscalco is one of three panelists who have been invited to speak on the topic of women in technology. The session will cover topics such as the importance of diversity in the workplace, challenges women in technology encounter, best practice for companies looking to hire and retain women – and which companies are doing it well, how to get more women studying STEM topics, and what processes in hiring can be changed to encourage the hiring of more women.

Eye of the Tiger: Pounce on a Future-Fit Strategy for 2022

In a panel discussion hosted by Planbox, Caterina Maniscalco is one of three panelists who have been invited to speak on the topic of innovation challenges and strategies for success as we prepare to enter the new year. She will discuss insights gathered from her recent professional engagements as well as reference key and relevant topics from her book.

MAGAZINE FEATURE: YACHT CAPRI MAGAZINE

When: Summer 2021

Applying the principles in Caterina’s book on distributed leadership to real life, she and her business partner Luca Carrani have launched a new initiative this spring: Capri Art Experience (www.capriartexperience.com). 

Designed as a new way of experiencing the island of Capri, the art holidays provide time for relaxation and island exploration as well as structured art tuition over the course of the stay. The experience holidays include transfers, accommodation, and lessons in drawing and painting while being catered for during a stay that provides warmth, authenticity, and culture so that visitors can feel like a local.

Luca, with his background in the fine arts, provides the art tuition while Caterina is responsible for business development and experience strategy. The details of the project are detailed in a feature in Yacht Capri Magazine. You can find a digital copy of the magazine here

 

 

POSTGRADUATE UNIVERSITY LECTURE: DISTRIBUTED LEADERSHIP

When: 23 June 2021, 12:30pm GMT

As part of a large and ambitious teaching programme with 450 MSc students participating in an immersive and intensive online business simulation competition run in partnership with , Caterina Maniscalco will be giving a lecture on Distributed Leadership.

In addition to speaking about key elements from her book, Caterina will also address relevant topics in the present moment – including leadership and remote working, and the importance of organisational and global culture.

As a returning lecturer to this module and topic, Caterina has added new material for 2021, focusing particularly on ethics in leadership and the way in which distributed leadership supports this.

 

 

Interview: Distributed Leadership, 2021

In advance of her upcoming lecture at WBS in June, Caterina will speak with Paul Levy and Joao Baptista via Zoom to discuss the topic of Distributed Leadership in the present day.

Tech Leaders of Today: Webinar Series

When: 24 November 2020, 1pm GMT

Interquest Group and ECOM have joined together to deliver a webinar series on timely topics of the day in the industry, from gender issues at the leadership level and beyond, to the realities of working in the field as a contractor or in permanent role. 

In this edition of the webseries, Caterina will be on a panel with other tech leaders in the industry, namely Hugo Fonseca, Technology Director at Huge, and Lee Provoost, Engineering Head at Shell Accuport.
